“My name is Larissa Carnevale and I am one of the assistant teachers at the Koala class. I was born and raised in Germany with a German Mother and a American Father. I grew up bilingual and was introduced to both sides and cultures. I moved to the united states January of 2009 where I met my husband. We have 4 children together, 3 who have been at GISD. Over the past 3 years we have started to build our own little farm with goats, chickens, pigs and donkeys. Since 2018 we have officially become Kinder Goat Breeders in the state of Texas. We have been teaching our children the value of animals, the responsibility that comes with having them, how to care for them and what they can provide for us like fresh eggs and goats milk, which we have turned into goat cheese.
I have been working with and teaching children of all ages, multiples and special needs for several years now, here in the United States and in Germany. With 2 years of experience in preschool education at a German preschool in Ehningen-Germany and 4 years of experience being the care taker for special need twin boys. Taking care of their daily needs as well as being trained and providing them with Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy. Children have always been my passion as long as I can remember and I am excited that I get the opportunity to share my knowledge, culture and the German language with your children at GISD.”
