German Teacher Toddlers

About Me

“I have been working at GISD for 5 years now and was the lead teacher in the Elephant class for three years before I started teaching the Koalas. I studied social work at the University of Applied Sciences in Würzburg/Germany, where I also grew up. In Germany, I used to work as a “Tagesmutter” (licensed in-home child care provider) and took care of 5 children age 12 months to 5 years. I also worked shift work in an orphanage with school aged children. With my army veteran husband Frank and our three daughters (ages 16, 13 and nearly 9) we lived all over Germany and Texas before settling in Fort Worth. Emma, our youngest brought me to German-ISD as she wanted to go into a German preschool when we moved here. I love working at our school. It is like a little part of Germany to me. I enjoy teaching your children life skills while talking German to them, make our little Koalas feel at home here at German-ISD and share our German culture with them.”
