Verena Sandoval

German Pre-K Teacher

About Me

“I started working at GISD in August 2016. I graduated from the University of Leipzig, the city I was born and raised in, with a Master’s degree in Translatology and Teaching German as a Foreign Language. I never thought I would work with children, but it is certainly the best career move I’ve ever made. I LOVE my job. Besides working with a fantastic team of highly skilled and dedicated colleagues, it is such an honor and privilege to be working, playing, learning, growing and discovering the world with our adorable students. Language has always been fascinating to me. While my degree is of great help teaching the German language and culture to the children, I also want to advance as a teacher. Therefore, I went back to school to get my Child Development Associate degree which I’m about to finish. German ISD is my home away from home, and I’m thankful to be part of it.”
